
The DEA announced National Take Back Day scheduled for April 26, 2025 from 10AM to 2PM.
The Sullivan County Anti-Drug Coalition (SCAD), Kingsport and Bristol Police Departments, and the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office are again partnering to provide local collection sites to safely drop off your unused and expired medications.
“Practicing safe medication management is an easy way to protect those you love and the environment,” says Susie Pedersen, SCAD’s Prevention Team Leader, “because we all have a part to play in reducing substance misuse and creating a healthier community.”
The Sullivan County collection sites include:
140 Blountville Bypass, Blountville, TN (Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office)
801 Anderson Street, Bristol, TN (Municipal Parking Lot)
1 Tribe Way, Kingsport, TN (Dobyns-Bennett Parking Lot)
Participating Sullivan County Food City Locations include:

300 Clinchfield Street, Kingsport, TN
1921 Hwy 394, Blountville, TN
1911 Moreland Drive, Kingsport, TN
SCAD and its partners will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription drugs. Liquids (including intravenous solutions), syringes and other sharps, and illegal drugs will not be accepted.
