Travis Tritt is an American country music singer, songwriter, and actor, born James Travis Tritt on February 9, 1963, in Marietta, Georgia. Emerging in the late 1980s, he blended honky-tonk, Southern rock, blues, and gospel influences, distinguishing himself in the country music scene. Signed to Warner Bros. Records in 1989, Tritt released seven studio albums and a greatest hits compilation by 1999, achieving over 30 million album sales. His 1991 album It’s All About to Change is his best-selling, certified triple-platinum by the RIAA. Tritt has charted more than 40 times on the Hot Country Songs charts, including five number-one hits and 15 additional top-10 singles. He has received two Grammy Awards for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals and four awards from the Country Music Association. A member of the Grand Ole Opry since 1992, Tritt continues to influence country music with his distinctive style.
