Dolly Parton has teased fans with an upcoming duet that will team her with Reba McEntire. Dolly made the revelation during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” when she was asked why the two hadn’t yet collaborated.
“Reba and I just did a song together,” she said, noting it’s supposed to be on Reba’s next album. “We redid the song ‘Does He Love You,’ that she did years and years ago.” She adds, “I’ve always wanted to sing with her, and I don’t know why we never did it until now, but we really sounded good together. I think the fans are gonna like it. “
Meanwhile, in the same interview, Dolly shared that she used royalties from Whitney Houston’s blockbuster cover of “I Will Always Love You” and reinvested it into a black neighborhood in Nashville.
“I bought a property down in what was the Black area of town, and it was mostly just Black families and people that lived around there,” she said, noting she purchased a strip mall to be her office complex. She said. “I thought this was great — I’m just gonna be down here with her people, who are my people as well,” noting, “So I just love the fact that I spent that money on a complex and I think, ‘This is the house that Whitney built.’”
