Rosanne Cash is back with some new music. The singer just released the powerful new track “The Killing Fields,” about America’s history of lynchings, which she wrote during this summer’s protests over systematic racism.
“We are connected: we share the same planet, same oxygen, same desires,” she shared on Instagram. “We all want love. I wrote #TheKillingFields during a volatile, heartbreaking moment in America last summer.”
Rosanne will also drop a 7-inch of the single, along with her 2020 single “Crawl Into the Promised Land” on April 9th. Proceeds from the vinyl sales will go to the Arkansas Peace & Justice Memorial Movement
