Tanya Tucker has been recovering from hip surgery and had to cancel some of her shows. Unfortunately, she is still recovering and has announced the cancelation of an additional four shows, all for early and mid August.
Tucker shared the news on Instagram, writing that her doctor has asked her to “rest a few more weeks.” Her full post said, “I’m just overwhelmed by all the flowers, love and support since I had hip surgery. The doctors want me to rest a few more weeks before we get back on the road. I want you to know every day I feel stronger, better and ready to kick some ass, we’ll see y’all real soon, I promise! Love, Tanya”
The newly canceled dates are August 7’s show at St. Charles, Iowa’s Hinterland Music Festival, August 11 at the Royal Oak Music Theatre in Royal Oak, MI, August 13 at the Hart Theatre at the Egg in Albany, NY, and August 14 at the Great Cedar Showroom at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, CT. The shows on the 7th and 14th were cancelled completely. The show on the 11th is rescheduled for November 4 and the show on the 13th has been rescheduled for November 7.
