Willie Nelson is set to drop “My Way,” his second album of Frank Sinatra covers on Friday, and it’s a tribute to an artist that he loves.
“Practically everything that he’s recorded I’ve loved it. Naturally I’m a huge Sinatra fan,” Willie tells “Today’s” Willie Geist. “I don’t think anybody expected me to sound like Frank, even though I wish I could. I don’t have that good a voice.”
In the interview, Willie also confirmed the rumor that he wrote his classic tune “On The Road Again” on an airplane sickness bag, joking he made history, “threw up and moved on.”
Now Willie had a long and successful career in his own right, and while some people would possibly consider changing parts of their life, Willie isn’t one of them. Willie says he “wouldn’t change a thing” about his life,” noting, “If I changed anything in the back, it would change where I am now. And I really like where I am now.”
