Zephaniah OHora was introduced to country music while visiting New York. He now lives in Brooklyn and is a member of a Merle Haggard tribute band. You can hear the influence of “The Hag” and other crafters of the Bakersfield Sound in his music. His new album, “Listening To The Music”, has just been released and features songs like “Black and Blue” and “We Planned To Have It All”. OHora says “People think you have to be from Texas or Nashville to play this music… but that’s not the way I see it. Country’s all about being true to yourself and telling honest, authentic stories. You can do that anywhere.
