Jody Simpson was born in Banner Elk, NC, and has been legally blind since birth. He says he can remember wanting to be a radio DJ since he was 7 years old. He started his radio career in Mountain City in 2009 and now lives the dream every night at 96.3 The Possum from Midnight to 5 am.

Jody also takes pride in narrating blacklight drama plays at Southside Freewill Baptist Church in Mountain City. He enjoys hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, watching old wrestling videos, and collecting old soda bottles.
