About Mark Andrews
Mark was born in Rantoul, Illinois, a small town in the middle of the state. After having careers in restaurant management, glassblowing, and billboard sign design, Mark began his radio career in 1989. He's worked in radio in Myrtle Beach, SC…Mobile, AL…Greenville, NC…Raleigh, NC…Cleveland, OH… Wilmington, NC…Muscle Shoals, AL…and Asheville, NC before landing here in Bristol, VA.
Mark is very passionate about fundraising and charity events and has been closely associated with Make-A-Wish, Children’s Miracle Network, United Way, American Red Cross, and Disabled American Veterans, and even had a scholarship fund in his name in Asheville for helping underprivileged kids afford a better education. Mark is a sucker for helping kids, soldiers, and veterans.
Mark has been a voice-over artist for 23 years so you’ve probably heard him on TV. On a personal level, family means everything to Nark. His wife, son, sister, and father are a very important part of his everyday life. As strange as this sounds since he's on the radio, Mark is a very private person with a pretty low-keyed, laid-back personality.
