SITUATION
Thunderstorms will increase in coverage and intensity
through the afternoon across the region. A few severe storms are
expected, capable of damaging wind gusts and perhaps hail. A
tornado or two is also possible in any supercells that can become
established.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 85
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles south
southwest of London KY to 35 miles east of Danville VA. For a

PRECAUTIONS
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
