Just like the rest of us, the stars turn out for Dolly. Dolly Parton has announced an upcoming album, and she will be joined by some major names. While Parton has already informed us that Steve Perry and Steven Tyler are signed to sing on her forthcoming “Rock Star,” Parton gave us even more reasons to be excited on a recent episode of “The View.”
“We just finished our song last night,” said Parton of her collaboration with none other than Stevie Nicks. Additionally, the “9 to 5” singer revealed she will collaborate with Sir Paul McCartney, Cher and John Fogerty. Parton also said she is trying to convince Mick Jagger to join her, P!nk and Brandi Carlile on a cover of “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction.”
On a recent visit to “The Tonight Show,” Dolly said “I’d always thought I might want to do a rock record because my husband is a rock ‘n’ roll freak. I thought, ‘If I’m ever gonna do it, now’s the time."” She then hinted that she may have more gigantic collab announcements coming soon.
