The country world is mourning two very influential people.
- Ralph Emery passed away over the weekend at the age of 88. He is a member of both the Country Music Hall of Fame and National Radio Hall of Fame. In 1962 he became an announcer at the Grand Ole Opry, and hosted the syndicated talk show “The Ralph Emery Show” until 1995. He also hosted the syndicated TV shows “Pop Goes Country,” as well as “Nashville Now” and most recently a weekly show on RFD-TV from 2007 to 2015.
- Friday, we lost songwriter Dallas Frazier at the age of 82. Frazier is known for writing such hits as “Elvira” and “There Goes My Everything”, among others, Frazier was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
